New 'solution' for night mouth guards

I never thought about wearing a night mouth guard until after my husband died and I began to feel pain in my teeth. The dentist couldn't find a problem, but my daughter Beth, our Widows List co-host, said stress after a trauma may cause you to grind your teeth in your sleep and that will create pain. It had happened to her when she was widowed many years ago.

She told me about night guards and I had one made and it worked perfectly. I wanted to keep it clean, and Beth suggested dropping it into a glass with denture cleaner.

I did that, but found another "solution" too. I had read advice from a dentist's wife about whitening teeth. She suggested holding a solution of Peroxide and water in your mouth while you shower each day. I decided to drop the night guard into a glass of that solution too. The result is my mouth guard is sparkling clean--and so are my teeth.

If you don't want to pay for an expensive custom-made guard, check your local pharmacy. There are many inexpensive options that work very well.
