While visiting family in Colorado, I went to Rigden Farm, a charming Spectrum Retirement Community in Ft. Collins to give my "Celebrities I Have Known " talk and introduce my new book  "Stairway to the Stars: John Travolta, Woody Allen, Joan Rivers and Me"


I was surprised to learn this lovely residence, built on a former farm, with private villas surrounding it , is a most reasonable rental facility. No down payments,  no ownership to worry your heirs--just pay the rent from month to month.

In addition to all the amenities I've observed in other communities, this rental property also includes excellent meals -if the lunch we enjoyed with the pleasant staff was any indication.

I spoke with one resident from Illinois who said he researched several senior residences and found this group to be among the most economical and he was very satisfied with life there. Happily, I learned Spectrum is going to open a similar facuility in Cary Il, not far from my community and I believe many of my WidowsList.com people will be interested in seeing it. Many of them have remained in homes they would like to sell, but they don't want to buy into something else at this stage of life.
